Position Summary:
The individual in this position will provide practice oversight for the discipline of nursing within the Halifax/Brooks Center for Inpatient Rehabilitation. The Practice Resource acts asaresource to nursing staff and hospital management in compliance with state legal statutes, regulatory agencies, and ethical guidelines for this discipline.

Responsibilities:
Provides clinical education and evaluation to nursing and patient care staff, and facilitates evidenced-based competency within area of rehabilitation nursing. Collaborates with Education Coordinator to ensure staff is compliant with all regulatory requirements.Performs all duties as required, ensuring adherence to Joint Commission standards and all related HMC-Brooks policies, procedures, and guidelines.Perform direct patient care 50% of the time to support clinical needs of the department. Program Specialty- Expertise DevelopmentProvides educational leadership to care providers to enhance specialized patient care within established clinical protocols.Collaborates with medical providers, patient care staff, lead nurses, and subject matter experts to gather content and create evidence based education/training activities and materialsInitiates clinical skills development programs within the parameters of established clinical and preceptorship models.Educates patient care staff in the use of new equipment, supplies, and instruments; coordinates in-service training and workshops for appropriate nursing staff.Develops and oversees preceptorship/mentorship program for nurses and CNAs.

Qualifications:
Registered Nurse, licensed in the State of Florida. 5 years of experience in nursing with experience in the following areas:Post-Acute NursingClinical mentoringDidactic and Psychomotor teaching preferredPast experience of performing and teaching scholarly activities (such as publications, presentations, adjunct faculty etc) is preferred;Advanced clinical practiceExperience with curriculum design, development, and evaluation preferredBSN degree or actively working towards requiredWill consider sponsorship. Must have:2 years applicable experienceCurrent Florida Nursing license or evidence of having passed NCLEX ExamEnglish proficiency
