Independent Nurse Practitioner Multi-State Traveler - Urgent Care

As a part of OptumCare, the largest network of medical groups in the nation, MedExpress is seeking a Full Time Urgent Care Traveling Independent Nurse Practitioner to join our team in Elm Grove, WV. At Optum, we are transforming healthcare nationally while providing Physician-led care locally.

Position Highlights:

• Open 8am- 8pm, 7 days per week
• Providers typically work 12 hour shifts
• Average patient load = 3-4 patients per hour
• Full licensed medical team and support staff
• Responsibilities include:
  • Suturing
  • Splinting
  • Initial interpretation with digital X-Rays
  • Incisions and drainage

Required Qualifications:

• Certification by one of the Nurse Practitioner certifying bodies (ANCC or AANP) as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)
• 2+ years of experience working independently as a Nurse Practitioner
• Unrestricted DEA license (or willing to obtain prior to start)
• Must be CPR certified (or willing to obtain prior to start)
• DOT certification (or ability to obtain within the first 60 days of employment)
• Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential requirement of this role. UnitedHealth Group will adhere to all federal, state and local regulations as well as all client requirements and will obtain necessary proof of vaccination prior to employment to ensure compliance.
• Must be willing and able to assist at other centers
• You will be provisioned with appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and are required to perform this role with patients and members on site, as this is an essential function of this role.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Clinical experience working as a provider in an emergency medicine or urgent care setting
