Professor and Endowed Chair

Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology (OBGYN) is seeking applications for Director of the Maternal Health Research Program. The successful PhD, MD or equivalent degree candidate will be expected to develop, implement and lead strategic growth of the Maternal Health Research Program.

This endowed leadership position will help build and integrate the Maternal Health Research Program major cross-disciplinary research initiatives. The qualified candidate will have an outstanding record of research accomplishments and significant extramural or clinical trial funding. Candidate is expected to maintain a vigorous, creative, externally or clinical trial funded research program. The successful candidate will have an exceptional opportunity to develop collaborative interdisciplinary research programs across the MCW campus and eight CTSI institutions. In addition to an Endowed Chair, this position comes with a competitive start-up package.

The department of OBGYN has a 15-member multi-disciplinary clinical MFM division, MFM fellowship and residency programs, and strong clinical trials infrastructure. Outpatient visits are provided at various sites in SE Wisconsin. The MCW campus includes a newly renovated birth center that is a Society of Obstetrical Anesthesia and Perinatology Center of Excellence located at Froedtert Hospital. The adjacent Children’s Wisconsin includes a top-ranked level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and Fetal Concerns Center.  The partnership and proximity of the organizations provides convenient and coordinated access to the highest-level care for both mother and infant, producing consistently excellent measures in safety, quality and outcomes. MCW has a CAP-approved tissue bank which includes placentas and other maternal specimens.
