Beaumont Health is seeking a dynamic Fellowship Trained BC/BE Cardiovascular Surgeon to join the collegial Cardiovascular Surgery team within Beaumont Medical Group aligned with Beaumont Hospital, Troy.  The practice has a longstanding history of excellence in the community.  The Center is a destination site for complex surgical care and chronic disease management and enhances Beaumont’s reputation as a regional referral center and top hospital in the United States.

The Heart &Vascular teams provide patients the most advanced treatment options, including minimally invasive or catheter procedures to treat complex conditions, congenital heart disease, aortic aneurysm and heart rhythm disorders. They are pioneers in less invasive techniques to perform valve replacement surgery; The team includes experienced cardiologists, cardiac and vascular surgeons, and specialty clinicians to help patients and families develop the best possible treatment plans.

EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

  • BC/BE thoracic surgeon with completion of Advanced Cardiovascular Surgery fellowship
  • 5+ years post-advanced fellowship experience
  • Provide at last 2 years of STS data identifying the case type and overall quality of work Performed
  • Excellent surgical skills:  perform complex procedures valve repair/ replacement, including TAVR, TAVI & TMVR, multivessel CABG, aortic aneurysms, dissections, ASD & VSD, minimally invasive aortic heart surgery
  • Perform the Florida Sleeve, MAZE Procedure
  • Myxoma removal
  • Establishment of a surgical LVAD program
