The Department of Internal Medicine at the University of California, Davis School of Medicine is recruiting for one full-time position in the Clinical X Professor Series at the Assistant or Associate Professor level in the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology. The position will be primarily dedicated to developing a clinical research program in colon cancer with an emphasis on the role of obesity. The candidate will be expected to develop an independently funded, multi-disciplinary research program which may include epidemiologic and outcomes research methods, translations sciences, or clinical trials. Collaborations will be expected with the NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center and Public Health Sciences. Resources include a CTSA-funded Clinical and Translational Sciences Center which provides bioinformatics and biostatistical support including access to over 12 million patient records in UC-Rex; and a GI Clinical Trials Unit to support investigator-initiated and industry-sponsored clinical trials.
