Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner - Full-Time

We are offering an excellent opportunity for a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to provide health care services to our Veterans and their Families at David Grant Medical Center in gorgeous Fairfield, CA.

- Monday - Friday (7:30am - 4:30pm) shifts based on department needs

Requirements for PA/NP:


- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nursing
- Graduate from accredited college/university by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education of the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) or Graduate from an academic program, within the nursing specialty field of study that is accredited by a regional or national nursing accrediting agency recognized by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).

- Certification in addition to Basic Life Support: Certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician's Assistants (NCCPA) or Certified in the specialty required by the TO as a Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or the recognized national nursing certification organization for the specialty area of practice as appropriate (for example, National Certification Board of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners and Nurses, American Nurses Association, National Certification Corporation for the Obstetric, Gynecologic and Neonatal Specialties). Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS). Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).

- Knowledge of professional care theories, principles, practices, disease process and procedures. Knowledge of a variety of pharmacological agents used in patient treatment, the desired effects, side effects, and complications of their use as well as the accurate administration of the pharmacologic agent, including dosage calculations as required. Knowledge of the administrative requirements for proper documentation of patients' condition including disease progress, acknowledgement of teaching, and follow up care. Knowledge of computer operations and proficiency in the use of basic word processing, data entry and automated medical records.

- Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a Physician Assistant as required in the TO or Current, full, active, and unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse.

Due to contractual obligations with the DoD, Health Care Workers performing under this contract must either be a U.S. citizen, or as defined by the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, either a noncitizen national of the United States, lawful permanent resident of the United States, or alien authorized to work in the United States
