SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University seeks attendings in pulmonary and critical care and/or critical care for intensivist coverage of our combined medical/surgical intensive care unit. Applicants will have advanced critical care skills and will participate in our robust academic research and teaching programs. We anticipate that the physicians will provide bedside care in our ICU and through our critical care consultative service.

SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University has a large pulmonary and critical care fellowship training program and the attending will have opportunities to supervise fellows, residents and medical students on research, quality improvement and teaching endeavors. Administrative and clinical research opportunities exist, in accordance with the person's interest. Candidates with pulmonary training will also have the opportunity to develop an outpatient clinical practice.

Training/License: The candidates we seek must be Board Certified in Critical Care Medicine and/or Pulmonary Medicine.
