The Johns Hopkins Limb Preservation and Wound Care Fellowship is a 1-year, ACGME-equivalent clinical fellowship within the Division of Vascular Surgery & Endovascular Therapy at The Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD. The Limb Preservation and Wound Care Fellow will receive unequaled, fully integrated multidisciplinary training to competently provide diabetic wound evaluation, surgical techniques employing evidenced-based wound salvage paradigms and complex wound reconstruction. Our proven limb salvage pathways incorporate a variety of wound modalities, coupled with our technological savvy Noraxon Computer-Assisted Gait Analysis (CAGA), providing patients with the greatest opportunity for continued limb preservation and remaining in remission and ulcer-free. The Fellowship curriculum corresponds to ACFAS guidelines for lower extremity fellowships, as well as a wound care core curriculum.

We are seeking a fellow to start July 1, 2022. This fellowship is appropriate for surgeons from a multitude of backgrounds including general, orthopedic, plastic, podiatric, and vascular surgery, and may also be applicable to general surgery residents interested in limb preservation during their research year.
