The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology seeks to fill the position of Division Chief of Gynecologic Oncology.

The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center (UT Southwestern) is the home of the largest residency program in Obstetrics and Gynecology, and one of the busiest clinical programs in the United States. We have over 100 faculty members, 175 classified staff, 72 residents, and 18 fellows. The Department has a robust research program and excellent graduate and undergraduate medical education programs.  The Division of Gynecologic Oncology has faculty at both Parkland Health and Hospital System, which serves a diverse, underrepresented patient population and the Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center, which serves as a community resource and a large regional referral center for women with gynecologic cancers.  The Division is a member of the National Cancer Institutes NRG Oncology Group and has a wide breadth of participation in clinical trials through GOG Partners and other collaborators. Basic science and translations research is conducted in partnership with the Cecil H. and Ida Green Center for Reproductive Biology Sciences and the Hamon Center for Therapeutic Oncology Research. The Gynecologic Oncology Fellowship program has full ACGME accreditation. Appointment rank will be commensurate with academic accomplishments and experience.

The successful candidate will have a passion for teaching and providing evidence-based clinical care.  Principal assignment will be to provide leadership of integrated programs in clinical care and investigations as a top priority for the department.  This individual will oversee the current Gynecologic Oncology division and will ensure our continued ability to provide high quality care for our patients and to fulfill our teaching obligations to our students, residents, and fellows.

Candidates must have a medical degree; completed an accredited residency in obstetrics and gynecology; have completed an approved fellowship in Gynecologic Oncology; and have attained or be eligible for Texas medical licensure and certification by the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology. Interested candidates should apply online at https://jobs.utsouthwestern.edu/ (Job# 609128) and upload a letter of introduction and CV.
