The Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes, Metabolism and Nutrition at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN is seeking an Endocrinologist with expertise in clinical nutrition to join our practice.
The Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes, Metabolism and Nutrition within the Department of Internal Medicine at Mayo Clinic is comprised of 40 endocrinologists. We are a tertiary referral center with broad expertise in the management of common and unusual endocrine disorders. Our clinical nutrition programs incorporate ambulatory and hospital practices in the comprehensive management of obesity and malnutrition. Our bariatric surgery program is an integrated practice involving the disciplines of General Surgery, Endocrinology, Psychiatry and Psychology, Gastroenterology, and Dietetics. We are a Certified Center of Excellence and perform over 300 operations annually. We have a solid foundation for basic and clinical investigation. We have a committed education program with an ACGME-accredited fellowship in Endocrinology and Diabetes and CME courses.
Candidates must be board-certified/board-eligible endocrinologists with clinical training and interest in nutrition. The successful candidate will be actively involved in our multidisciplinary bariatric surgery practice with preoperative assessments and postoperative follow-up of patients interested in bariatric surgery. The candidate will have the opportunity to participate in several initiatives within and outside the Division focusing on the management of the patient with obesity. Candidates should have academic interest in the field of nutrition.
