Do you have the career opportunities as a Registered Nurse you want in your current role? We have an exciting opportunity for you to join Asheville Specialist Hospital, a licensed, long-term acute-care hospital (LTACH) offering a unique treatment approach for complex medical conditions by designing an individualized treatment plan in cooperation with a medical provider. We are a Joint Commission accredited and CMS certified hospital.

Our low staff-to-patient ratio allows us to provide intensive, highly skilled treatment and therapeutic care for you or your loved one.
  • Transition from ICU
  • Pulmonary care (ventilator management and weaning)
  • Complex wound care
  • Physical, occupational, and speech rehabilitation
  • Renal disease and dialysis
  • Radiation therapy
  • Infection prevention and IV antibiotic therapy
  • Pain management

Plan and implement care for patients in accordance with the medical and nursing plans of care and established policies and procedures. Provide nursing services to patients and families, in accordance with scope of practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) as defined by the North Carolina Board of Nursing. Provides leadership to supervised personnel, which facilitates the delivery of professional nursing care for the comfort, safety, and well-being of patients.

Qualification and Requirements: Current license as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina, or an associated compact state. Current BLS: Red Cross or American Heart; ACLS/ALS (American Heart Association or American Red Cross) within 6 months of hire.

Experience: 1-2 years of hospital experience
