Overview

The Director of Telehealth Nursing works with the Vice President of the Clinical Hub to ensure that objectives of telehealth nursing initiatives of the Healthcare Cloud are executed to meet or exceed established organizational goals. The Director of Telehealth Nursing is responsible for the delivery of clinical telehealth nursing services.

Qualifications

Education

Master's degree in Nursing or related health care or medical services preferred.

Experience

Two (2) years of managerial experience with a Master's in Nursing or three (3) years of managerial experience with a Master's degree in a related health care or medical services, behavioral or rehabilitative science field.

Licenses/Certifications

Registered Nurse in the state of employment and in states where telehealth delivery occurs
Must be willing to add licenses in states where services are requested.
Responsibilities

Oversees daily operations of telehealth nursing services in meeting facility goals and objectives.
Develops, presents and manages the telehealth nursing services budget, as applicable. Participates in strategic planning and budget development by participating in the development of policy to include goals, outcome and process objectives and implementation steps.
Organizes telehealth service delivery through judicious staffing and scheduling, management of staff and resources, and communication and collaboration with other departments and sites.
Participates in the quality improvement activities as designated. Develops and manages quality improvement activities for telehealth nursing services.
Directs telehealth service delivery by serving as a resource and consultant to telehealth nursing staff by advising on complex nursing issues and resolving difficult operational issues. Motivates staff; guides problem identification and solving, facilitates constructive resolution of conflict. Demonstrates knowledge of applicable state and federal telehealth regulations as it applies to the role of nurses and nurse practitioners.
Evaluates telehealth service delivery and professional growth and development of staff. Monitors, reports and assists with resolution of safety issues. Performs various administrative duties as needed for efficient program administration.
Provides ongoing support and ensures staff adheres to organization's Code of Conduct.
Demonstrates understanding of patient and staff safety policies and procedures.
