Charge Nurse/LPN for Assisted Living and Memory Care

The Charge Nurse is an LPN that provides compassionate care and assistance to residents and families, Supervises the overall nursing care and services provided on his/her shift, including the accurate and timely administration of medications, treatments, documentation, and emergency calls, as indicated.

Essential Job Duties:

• Supervises direct care of residents and nursing personnel on his/her shift.
• Administers medications and treatments and direct care as necessary.
• Rounds to ensure proper care is provided in a safe and clean environment.
• Keeps physicians and families of any changes in resident's condition.
• Assist in developing service plans.
• Utilizes electronic medical records systems to record all pertinent resident data.
• Maintains the self-respect, personal dignity, and physical safety of each resident.
• Maintains accurate documentation of all care rendered.
• Responds to resident emergency call system.
• Participates in family/resident counseling as necessary.
• Assists with the orientation and evaluation of nursing personnel.
• Performs specific work duties as assigned by Assisted Living Director of Nursing.

Education:

• Bachelor's (Preferred)

Experience:

• Medication Administration: 1 year (Preferred)
• Nursing: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• LVN (Preferred)
• LPN (Required)
