Nurse Reviewer

About the job:

• Working on the Adult Med/Surg and Post-Acute (SNF and Rehab) Concurrent Review team
• Perform telephonic review of emergent/urgent, and continued stay requests for the appropriate level of care and setting following medical necessity guidelines, UM policy and procedures
• Complete medical necessity and level of care reviews for requested services using clinical judgment and refer to Medical Directors for review depending on case findings
• Collaborate with various staff within provider networks and discharge planning team electronically, telephonically, or onsite to coordinate member care
• Conduct discharge planning
• Educate providers on utilization and medical management processes
• Must complete 12-20 clinical reviews daily with minimal errors

Minimum Education/Licensures/Qualifications:

• Graduate from Accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred)
• RN license in GA, Vaccinated for COVID
• 1+ years of UM experience, prefer CCR background but will take other UM as well (will take someone who did discharge planning as well, but not preferred)
• 2+ years of clinical experience in med-surg, ICU, or another strong hospital clinical setting (not looking for specialized clinical experience, ie - BH, OB, NICU, etc.)
• Experience working with EMR Systems and computer documentation
• Word and Excel experience
• Ability to work from home - smart phone, private work space, and high speed internet (prefer personal computer because computers are back-ordered right now)

Length of Assignment: RTH/Temp to perm

Compensation Notes: Starting at $35/hr
Shift: M-F, 8am-5pm (occasional Saturdays and 1/2 days on holidays if coverage is needed)

Start Date: will confirm once clear, have start classes every 2-3 weeks
