Vibra Hospital of Denver, located in Thornton, CO, is a 54 bed LTAC, providing long-term acute care services to patients recovering from serious illnesses or injuries. Often our patients require additional critical care services for medically complex conditions such as trauma, infectious diseases, wound healing, cardiovascular disease, stroke, amputation and ventilator weaning. As a smaller, specialized hospital, we offer an opportunity to work in a fast-paced and friendly work environment where you really get to know your patients and their families.

The RN develops, implements, evaluates and revises a plan of care of assigned patients and families while promoting the mission and values of Vibra Healthcare. The provision of care includes direct care along with the delegation and supervision of all nursing care in accordance with the applicable Nurse Practice Act. Specific components of the Registered Nurse role include demonstrating clinical competence; managing patient care; improving quality of care; establishing professional relationships and utilizing professional skills; fulfilling responsibilities of the role of the hospital; and developing clinical expertise per specialty.

New Graduate RN Program offers a 8-10 week paid internship with a dedicated preceptor. The 8-10 week program incorporates weekly critical care education classes with our critical care educator, structures clinical experiences with other clinical disciplines such as wound care and respiratory therapy and on-line required classes. The Critical Care classes include Airway and ventilator management, ABG Interpretation, Sepsis Management, EKG interpretation, Neurologic system and assessment, Palliative Care, Early progressive Mobility, Delirium prevention, Assessment, and Management, Critical Care pharmacology, and Chest tube management. The intent of this program is to provide a systematic structured orientation to the professional role of the registered nurse.

Qualifications:

* Current, valid, and active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment required.
* Current BLS certification required.
* Current ACLS certification required within six (6) months of hire.

Additional Qualifications/Skills:

* Previous acute care experience is strongly preferred.
* Ability to project a professional image.
* Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
* Strong organizational, prioritizing and analytical skills.
* Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
* Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions.
* Freedom from illegal use of and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.

At Vibra Hospital of Denver, RN's are eligible for weekend, evening, and night shift differentials, as well as relief House Supervisor differentials, extra shift incentive bonus, and preceptor pay. Relocation assistance also available.
