Nurse Manager - Hospital - Full Time
Henderson Health Care Services, Inc., a progressive, rural healthcare facility, is seeking a full-time Nurse Manager for its thirteen bed Critical Access Hospital.
This position includes the following core duties:

Responsible for the daily supervision of the nursing staff in conjunction with CNO.
Identifies patient service requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and actual patients and other persons in a position to understand service requirements.
Maintains nursing guidelines by writing and updating policies to align with evidence based practice.
Assures quality of care by developing and interpreting hospital and nursing division's philosophies and standards of care; enforcing adherence to state board of nursing and state nurse practice act requirements and to other governing agency regulations; making or recommending adjustments.
Oversees nursing staff education and maintenance of competencies for nursing staff in conjunction with the Education Coordinator
Maintains a cooperative relationship among health care teams by communicating information; responding to requests; building rapport; participating in team problem-solving methods.
May assist in patient care when feasible. Utilizes the nursing process, for the performance of patient care, to assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate patient care to achieve prioritized patient outcomes.
Encourage continued personal and professional growth of nursing personnel and provide opportunities for education and continued competency/learning through period CEU Programs, staff meetings, and skills days.
Provides patient care supervision.
Recruits and develops a qualified and productive workforce.
Performs employee relations functions effectively to promote a positive work environment, influence retention and enhance communication.
Assists in management of departmental financial operations.
Participates in and promotes HHC committees, quality assurance, performance and quality improvement initiatives, and activities which support the facility and department operations.
Complies with the state and federal regulatory requirements related to the performance of HHC operations and requirements of the HHC Compliance Program.
Promotes and ensures patient safety in performance of all responsibilities.
Presents self in a professional manner and enhances professional growth and development through participation in education programs, current literature, in-service meetings and workshops.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Must possess a current Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licensure in the State of Nebraska. Two or more years of healthcare experience in an acute setting is desirable.
