Physician - Geriatric Medicine - Geriatrician - Memory Clinic - Established and flexible Midwestern

UnityPoint Health is actively recruiting for a Geriatrician to join our Peoria IL Senior Health and Memory Clinic team.

Overview:

This is a full-time employed Physician opportunity to join an established and talented team of 4 Physicians and 6 Advance Practice Providers, working in a collaborative environment focusing on patient-centered care.

We seek a Physician with a passion for Geriatric Patients and Memory Care, who also has leadership qualities to serve as the Medical Director of three area Nursing Homes. You will be part of an engaged and talented team, helping to grow this thriving practice and maintain the high quality and patient satisfaction scores.

• Clinic support staff: 1 RN and 1 Patient Service Rep
• Clinic conveniently located on Hospital Campus
• EPIC EMR

Responsibilities:

• Memory Clinic: an outpatient clinic seeing Alzheimer's patients 3 days per week
• Nursing home rounding: 2 days per week with a very flexible schedule to see patients in 1-2 nursing homes per day
• Medical Director of three area Nursing Homes: the Geriatrician will receive an additional stipend related to the Medical Directorship responsibilities
• Average patients/day: 7
• Call schedule requirement: 5 days per month including weekends, call handled by phone

Qualifications:

• MD or DO
• Board Certified in Geriatrics (Board Eligible must meet Board Certification within 5 years of completion of training)
• Hold an unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Illinois
• Eligible to work in the United States; H-1B and Permanent Residency sponsorship available
