The Aultman Cancer Center is seeking a highly qualified radiation oncologist to further grow Aultman's radiation oncology capabilities. The candidate should be skilled in external beam image guided and intensity modulated radiation therapy, stereotactic radiosurgery, stereotactic body radiotherapy, high dose rate brachytherapy for gynecologic cancers, and low dose rate seed implants for prostate cancer. The radiation oncology center at Aultman is currently being renovated as part of the construction of the new Timken Family Cancer Center. The renovation includes upgraded and expanded patient care areas, and brand-new technology including two new Varian TrueBeam linear accelerators equipped with RapidArc, HyperArc, 4D CBCT, and the Varian Identify system with surface guided radiation therapy. Brand new GE Discovery 16 slice CT with deviceless gating and a Nucletron high dose rate brachytherapy system are also part of the equipment upgrades.

Aultman Cancer Center's dedicated team of professionals provide compassionate and personalized cancer care to our community with state-of-the-art technology and exceptional talent. The program diagnoses and treats over 1700 new cancer cases annually across the system and includes a comprehensive complement of other cancer specialists including hematology/oncology, gynecologic oncology, fellowship trained breast surgeon, general surgeons, advanced plastic surgery, urologists, thoracic surgery, interventional oncology, neurosurgeons, and palliative care. Supportive services include nurse navigators, dietician, social worker, support groups. Aultman provides the most comprehensive, dedicated cancer care in the Stark County and surrounding areas. The program is accredited by the Commission on Cancer, National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers, and the American College of Radiation Oncology. Research is also a large part of the program with a nationally recognized clinical trials department offering both cooperative and pharmaceutical research studies with over 37 active clinical trials open.

Qualifications

Established physicians and residents seeking employment in 2022 are encouraged to apply. Board certification or eligibility in Radiation Oncology is expected.

Salary/compensation package will be commensurate with experience and performance-based outcomes.

With the new Timken Family Cancer Center currently under construction, there couldn't be a more exciting time to be part of such a wonder organization! Workers have started renovations and new construction on the 58,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art center, with a target completion date of 2022.
