Nurse Practitioner
The Massachusetts General Hospital seeks a full-time nurse practitioner for a one-year training program in Addiction Medicine starting in June 2022. This program, the Integrated Substance Use Disorder Training Program (ISTP), is a new training fellowship that aims to train nurse practitioners, psychologists, and social workers in team-based addiction care, especially for under-served and diverse communities. The Nurse Practitioner will work with other ISTP trainees to provide inter-disciplinary care for people with substance use disorders in a community-based health center setting. The training program will also consist of time spent on an inpatient addiction consult service, a low-threshold walk-in clinic, and outpatient dual-diagnosis programs for adolescents and adults. Training and mentorship will be provided by experienced addiction practitioners who are faculty of this program. Deadline to apply is December 31, 2021.
Inquiries and to request an application: Samantha Sawyer - smsawyer@mgh.harvard.edu
Requirements: Master of Science in Nursing (MSN). Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Clinical Nurse Specialist in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Mass Controlled Substances Licensing required. An interest in providing substance use disorder care in under-served, community-based settings.
