IAS Health Associates - Come work with a caring and dynamic team of professionals! Our skilled nursing facility is seeking an experienced Director of Nursing.
This supervisory position involves delegation, responsibility and accountability. The DON will direct the overall operation of the nursing department in accordance with current nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as applicable federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations, and as directed by the facility to assure that the highest degree of resident care is always maintained.
Main duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Assuming the leadership, authority, responsibility and accountability of directing the nursing department
Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures, establishing rapport with other departments to ensure all services and activities are properly maintained to meet the needs of the residents
Ensures proper nursing documentation and conducts regular chart audits
Participates in discharge planning, development and implementation of care plans, and resident assessments
Applicants must have:
RN License
Experience in a supervisory capacity
Minimum two (2) years of SNF or long term care facility experience
