Baylor College of Medicine is seeking to recruit a junior physician scientist funded by the prestigious NIH-funded Women's Reproductive Health Research (WRHR) Career Development Scholarship. This faculty member will be supported by a team of committed mentors in 12 thematic-focused research areas, alongside the requisite parallel core infrastructure and biostatistics. The goal of our WRHR Center of Excellence is to develop unparalleled capacity to investigate research questions which matter for women’s reproductive health. Examples include benchtop research on the underlying causal mechanisms driving obstetrical outcomes and women’s cancers, and highly integrated genetics and genomics research. Other examples include clinical and translational research aimed at understanding and mitigating the social determinants of health, including environmental exposures and environmental (in)justice. Nearly endless opportunities to advance women’s health, state of the science research, and computational and cutting-edge methodologies are available.

An outstanding Ob/Gyn provider with a passion for research excellence (MD or MD/PhD) is sought at the Assistant Professor level for an initial appointment of up to 3 years. This individual will have 75% protected effort dedicated to research, and 25% dedicated to clinical activities.
