Surgical Services Clinical Nurse Educator

An established acute care hospital located in central New Jersey is currently searching for an experienced Surgical Services Clinical Nurse Educator to join their award-winning healthcare team.

This acute care hospital center is home to just under 200 licensed beds and has provided the surrounding community with world-class acute and primary healthcare for well over the past 100 years. The Surgical Services Clinical Nurse Educator will work within an acute care hospital that is known to provide comprehensive clinical care for a number of medical specialties including behavioral health, oncology, emergency and trauma services, heart and vascular care, laboratory, neurology, orthopedics, pediatrics, primary care and family medicine, radiology rehabilitation and home care services, respiratory care, general and specialty surgical services, women and infant health, as well as wound care services.

The Surgical Services Clinical Nurse Educator will join a perioperative service line that utilizes the latest surgical technologies and works with highly skilled surgical teams to provide the best possible surgical care. This perioperative service line offers service for a number of procedures including surgical oncology, ENT disorders, cardiac surgery, hernia repairs, laparoscopic surgery, lung surgery, mastectomy, thyroid surgery, tumor surgeries, gynecologic surgeries, spinal surgeries, varicose vein treatment, bariatric surgery, minimally invasive and robotic surgery.

The Surgical Services Clinical Nurse Educator will be responsible for providing clinical education and training to the perioperative department staff as well as patients. The Surgical Services Clinical Nurse Educator will also be expected to design, plan, and implement training and educational programs that emphasize the success of the perioperative service line. The Surgical Services Clinical Nurse Educator will have prior nursing experience circulating and scrubbing experience as well as proven leadership or educational experience. This position requires a Bachelor's degree in nursing along with a valid NJ nursing license.
