General Obstetrician/Gynecologist- Academic Position UCSF/St. Francis Hospital

The Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences at the University of California San Francisco is seeking a board certified/eligible ObGyn Generalist at the level of Assistant, Associate or Full Professor to join the Generalist Division.

The primary focus of the Generalist will be the clinical care of general obstetrical and gynecologic patients at the UCSF Medical Center. Clinical responsibilities will include office practice in general obstetrics and gynecology, office-based procedures, gynecological surgery, inpatient obstetrics. Duties include outpatient care at UCSF Mt. Zion campus, and inpatient care at St. Francis Hospital. Temporarily, inpatient duties will be at UCSF Mission Bay. The Generalist will have a role in helping create protocols and plan the new OB unit at St. Francis Hospital, a new clinical site being developed by UCSF. This will be a collaborative practice that includes Ob/Gyn generalists as well as Family Medicine practitioners.

The successful applicant will demonstrate an aptitude for and dedication to medical education including direct teaching of medical students and residents.

Candidates must have demonstrated capability and experience in providing evidence-based and patient-centered ObGyn care and in collaborating and coordinating care in clinical teams that enhance the patient experience with a commitment to excellence in clinical care, patient safety, and patient satisfaction.

The successful candidate must hold an MD or DO degree and be board certified in Ob/Gyn.
