PACU/INTERVENTIONAL RADIOLOGY NURSE - RN (FAIRFAX VASCULAR CENTER)

Fairfax Radiology Centers, LLC is seeking a full time PACU/ Interventional Radiology Nurse (RN) to work at the Fairfax Vascular Center (FVC). Mon - Fri, approximately 7:30-4:00pm requiring some flexibility. No weekends, call, major holidays, or evenings. Office is based in Fairfax, Virginia.

GENERAL PURPOSE:

The RN will operate within the nursing scope of the practice to provide high quality interventional and surgical care of the vascular procedure patient population. Will be responsible performing pre procedure nursing assessment and preparation, medication management, intra-procedure and post procedure evaluation, discharge care of the patient and follow up in office and triaging patient calls. This also includes other tasks or projects as assigned by the Manager to ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Support the Interventional Radiologists and clinical team in delivering safe, effective, compassionate and collaborative care to all patients. Apply working knowledge and experience in high volume medical procedure environment; assist in procedure room preparation; maintain sterile technique,and provide pre, intra, and post procedure care to the patient. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, local and FRC regulations. Facilitate positive and professional communications in an effort to improve the patient experience and clinical outcomes.

REQUIREMENTS

B.S.N. preferred with RN required, current VA License, minimum of 2 years nursing experience, preferably within ICU or Interventional Radiology settings. BLS and ACLS certifications mandatory.

Demonstrates strong communication skills, labor and human relations skills essential. Demonstrated knowledge of federal, state and local regulatory standards required. Good computer skills including EHR, MS Word and Excel.
