Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor, Department of Orthodontics & Dentofacial Orthopedics

The University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry is seeking to fill the position of Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor in the Orthodontics & Dentofacial Orthopedics Department. The position is a 100% benefit eligible, full-time, non-tenure track position. Salary and rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Qualified candidates may be eligible to participate in clinical practice one day per week.

This department is responsible for the education of pre-doctoral dental students and orthodontic residents, patient care and service in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics, and research.  Specific responsibilities of this position include administration of the pre-doctoral orthodontic education program, provision of instruction for pre‐doctoral dental students and orthodontic residents in the classroom, laboratory and clinic. Applicants must have a certificate from an Advanced Education Program in Orthodontics & Dentofacial Orthopedics and a commitment to teaching and service.  Clinical orthodontic experience, a MS or equivalent degree, and American Board of Orthodontics certification are preferred. A DDS/DMD or equivalent with eligibility for Missouri licensure are strongly preferred. For non-US DDS/DMD candidates with US specialty training, a DDS program for international faculty is available after an initial period of service.
