The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for an Assistant or Associate Professor position in the non-tenure academic-clinician track. The successful applicant will have experience in the field of Cancer Genomic Diagnostics and will serve as an Assistant/Associate Director for Cancer Diagnostics within the Division of Genomic Diagnostics to meet the needs of our fast expanding Cancer Genomics Diagnostic Program. The Division performs a wide range of tests for diagnosis of both constitutional and cancer disorders. Responsibilities include clinical test analysis and sign-out, quality control, innovation and test development. The successful candidate will also play a strong role in teaching of fellows, residents, medical and graduate students. Applicants must have an M.D. and/or Ph.D. degree and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in education and clinical care. Candidates must hold American Board of Medical Genetics certification (or eligibility) in Cytogenetics and Molecular Genetics or Molecular Genetic Pathology certification following Pathology residency. Physicians must be eligible/licensed in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Experience with Next Generation Sequencing (exome/panel sequencing, whole genome sequencing, RNA sequencing) is required. Experience in cancer cytogenetics including chromosomal analysis, FISH, SNP array or CGH array for copy number analysis is also required.
