Pediatric Cardiac Surgeon

The Division of Cardiac Surgery at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry is seeking a subspecialty BC/BE Pediatric Cardiac Surgeon to join the faculty at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. The Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery currently consists of six faculty members (4 adult, 2 pediatric surgeons) with a scope of practice spanning all aspects of cardiac surgery.

The pediatric cardiac surgery faculty currently perform approximately 300 major operations annually including extensive experience in neonates, infants, and adult congenital surgery.

We train house staff from our cardiothoracic fellowship program, integrated (I-6) cardiothoracic residency, and surgery residency, all in good standing with their respective RRCs. The position offers the potential for tremendous growth and support of an aspiring academic surgeon, and offers a competitive salary and benefits package.

Strong Memorial Hospital is an 850-bed, Level I Trauma Center. The adjoining Golisano Children’s Hospital’s opened a new operating room suite and pediatric cardiac ICU in the fall 2017.
