Salary: $180,000.00 - $240,000.00

As the Unit Director for the Medical Surgical Oncology department you will lead our inpatient Oncology Unit that is consistently ranked in the Top 10 hospitals in the country. Our location is paradise right near San Francisco, California just minutes to Napa Valley and the best wine country in the United States as well as next door to the Pacific Ocean!
The Unit Director is involved in ensuring optimal patient outcomes through effective leadership and / or provision of patient care delivery in assigned nursing unit(s) or area(s). Promotes environment for a shared voice in nursing practice and exchange of ideas to continually improve nursing and patient care outcomes. Accountable for the quality, safety, and cost-effectiveness of patient care. Consults and collaborates with other health care professionals to coordinate the management of patient care. Serves as a resource to staff, physicians, students and others.
The Unit Director will design and oversee nursing and administrative operations in large and / or multiple patient care areas, accountable for the overall administrative planning and coordination of the staffing, fiscal and material resources and assists with the development and implementation of new programs and policies.
Requirements:
Candidate will be a Nurse Manager or Unit Director in a hospital setting
Candidate will have current leadership experience in an Inpatient Oncology Unit
Academic medical center preferred or highly matrixed environment
Prior fiscal responsibilities managing a budget in the millions
