Nursing Quality Specialist

An award-winning health system in the beautiful Las Vegas area is now seeking a Nursing Quality Specialist to join their Regulatory and Patient Safety team.

A 100+ bed, non-profit hospital in Southern Nevada is seeking a Nursing Quality Specialist to contribute to improved quality of care by supporting innovation surrounding their Clinical Quality System and Patient Safety. Reporting to the Regulatory and Patient Safety Clinical Manager, the Nursing Quality Specialist will oversee the development and implementation of projects that work to optimize patient safety by focusing on quality improvement through guidance and education.

The Nursing Quality Specialist will apply their clinical experience to investigate and evaluate patient safety events for risk potential, loss minimization and applicable recording and documentation. The Nursing Quality Specialist will work closely with the executive leadership of various departments and units to identify areas of improvement and to achieve a superior clinical decision-making process. The Nursing Quality Specialist will utilize their expertise to provide training to experienced nurses about innovation projects and to new graduate RNs.
