The Department of Pediatrics, University at Buffalo (UB), Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences and Women and Children’s Hospital of Buffalo is actively recruiting a faculty member to join the Division of Infectious Diseases. Qualified MD or MD/PhD candidates must have completed an approved Pediatric Infectious Diseases fellowship program and be board certified/board eligible. Candidates will be eligible for a faculty appointment at the Assistant Professor level.
The candidate may elect to take a physician-scientist track or a physician-teaching track. For physician-scientists, the division offers outstanding research facilities and dedicated mentorship from world-renowned scientists working on translational research on gastrointestinal infections and enteric vaccine development and basic science research on B lymphocyte responses focused in HIV and Kawasaki disease. UB Clinical and Translational Research Center (CTRC), supported by NIH Clinical and Translational Science Award (CTSA), hosts a vibrant number of graduate school-supported programs and world-class proteomics and structural biology programs. The physician-teacher candidate will receive mentorship from the Division of Infectious Diseases, Department of Pediatrics and the Pediatric Education office. The selected candidate will be encouraged to actively participate in the leadership of our recently approved Pediatric Infectious Diseases Fellowship program.
