The Department of Dermatology of Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine/VCU Health is seeking full time faculty members (BC/BE required) to participate in both clinical practice and medical student/resident education at our urban campus and in our new, community-based suburban office. The dermatology department includes Mohs surgery, phototherapy, laser surgery, and opportunities for a contact dermatitis lab and clinical research.
Medical/General Dermatologist
Major responsibilities include clinical practice and education of residents and medical students. As a member of an academic community, candidates should be prepared to contribute to the organization via activities in clinical research, quality improvement/patient safety, and governance committees, and demonstrate interest in scholarly activity through journal publication and national meeting presentations.
Procedural Dermatologist
Successful candidates should have completed training in an approved Mohs fellowship program. Major responsibilities of this position include a Mohs micrographic surgical practice and medical education. Candidates should seek opportunities for participation in clinical research, publication, quality improvement and patient safety, and demonstrate scholarly activity through professional journal publication and national meeting presentations.
