Academic Physician

Drexel University College of Medicine is seeking an academic physician to join the Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine at Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia. Candidates must be board certified/eligible in Pulmonary/Critical Care, have strong teaching and clinical skills, and have established clinical or translational research interests. Certification/eligibility in Sleep Medicine is preferred but not necessary. Outstanding opportunity in the heart of Philadelphia.  Patient population is diverse with a wide spectrum of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep disorders. Collaboration opportunities are available with Drexel’s Schools of Biomedical Engineering and Public Health. Candidates will attend in medical ICU and pulmonary consult services at Hahnemann, develop an outpatient subspecialty clinic, teach students, residents and fellows, and will have opportunity to develop research and clinical interests.  The division has research interests in asthma, cystic fibrosis, sleep, ICU outcomes, neuromuscular disease, and mechanisms of human lung mast cell function. A strong mentorship network is provided with future opportunities for leadership.  Salary and academic rank are commensurate with experience.
