Recruitment of Basic Scientist with focus
on Hepatobiliary Cancers
Seeking a laboratory based scientist (PhD or MD/PhD) with interest in cancers of the liver (Hepatocellular carcinoma and bile duct carcinoma). The applicant is preferred to be at the late Assistant or at the Associate Professor level. Areas of relevant expertise that are of interest include cancer immunology, genomics, epigenetics, and intracellular oncogenic signaling. Applicant must have a track-record of independent funding. Applicant must be interested in working closely with clinicians and clinician scientists to translate discoveries into clinical projects; a track-record of such activities is preferred.
Applicant would be joining an active division of Medical Oncology with a large liver cancer population and a liver transplant program. Applicant would be a member of the cancer center’s gastrointestinal malignancies program. Institution has a large base of basic research in liver diseases including viral ones and alcohol or NASH driven ones, and has a track-record of multi-PI grants in this area.
