The Department of Surgery at the Robert Lamer, M.D. College of Medicine at The University of Vermont and the University of Vermont Medical Center is excited to announce a search for a Chief of Cardiothoracic Surgery to fill the endowed Frank lttleman Professorship in Cardiovascular Surgery. Successful candidates will have a track record of clinical excellence and have an interest in clinical leadership. He or she will be expected to participate in the care of adult cardiovascular patients and have significant experience in thoracic aortic disease. Some experience in clinical leadership is preferred. Only candidates at the Associate Professor or Professor level will be considered for this prestigious position. Opportunities for clinical leadership exist at the Service line level as well.

All applicants must be board certified/board eligible in their own sub-specialty. He or she must be eligible for licensure in the State of Vermont eligible to work in the United States, and have experience in the administrative, teaching, clinical, and research activities of an academic division. This is a full-time, 12-month, salaried position with attending staff privileges at the University of Vermont Medical Center.

Located in Burlington, the University of Vermont and the University of Vermont Medical Center serve as Vermont's only academic medical center. It is the only ACS verified Level I trauma center in the state and provides tertiary care to patients from Vermont and Northern NY.
