Advertisement - Academic Scholar  (Assistant/Associate Professor Mohs Surgeon)

The University at Buffalo Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences; Department of Dermatology is currently seeking  a BE/BC full time Dermatologist fellowship-trained Mohs surgeon to join our faculty at the level of the Assistant /Associate Professor in a non-tenure clinical educator track. 

Located on the campus of the new state-of-the-art 628,000-square-foot medical school, our Conventus Center for Collaborative Medicine on the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus offers immediate strong clinical practice while providing a gateway for connecting and collaborating across all specialties. An exceptional opportunity for an individual with an interest in team-based clinical care provided in a supportive academic environment, opportunities also exist for both clinical and translational research within the department and with the adjoining Jacobs School of Medicine. Leadership opportunities, as we plan for the opening of an ACGME-accredited dermatology residency program, are available.

Primary responsibilities include clinical care and the teaching of medical students and future incoming dermatology residents. Opportunities for clinical research and cosmetics are immediately available with an emphasis on a multidisciplinary team approach.  Professional and personal growth is emphasized in a growing department with supportive faculty mentorship and a strong institutional and community-based referral system.

    Minimum Qualifications:

  • MD degree
  • BE/BC in Dermatology
  • Fellowship training in MOHS Surgery of at least one  year duration
  • Eligible for Medical Licensure in the State of New York
  • Current and unrestricted DEA Certificate
  • Applicants must be currently authorized for employment in the United States on a full-time basis
