The Opportunity

SSM Health Dean Medical Group has a rewarding career opportunity for a full-time (1.0 FTE or 0.8 FTE) Palliative Care Nurse Practitioner to join our oncology palliative care program in Madison, WI. The Palliative Care Nurse Practitioner works in collaboration with the Palliative Care and Oncology physicians and other interdisciplinary team members. This provider is accountable for providing specialty palliative care to oncology patients and their families without direct supervision focusing on symptom and pain management as well as Goals of Care discussions with patients and their families. The ideal candidate will be patient-centered, service-oriented and will demonstrate the competencies of a palliative care provider.

• Outpatient Palliative Care practice in oncology clinic setting
• M-F workweek
• No nightly or weekend call requirements
• Flexible FTE (0.8-4 days) or 1.0 FTE (5 days)
• In home oncology palliative patient visits are an option 1 or 2 days a week
• No inpatient coverage

Minimum Qualifications:

• Advanced Certified Hospice and Palliative Nurse (ACHPN), if not already obtained, within two years of hire
• Minimum of two years of clinical experience in palliative and/or oncology setting as either an RN or NP
• Active unrestricted WI RN and NP license
• Active unrestricted WI DEA
• Team player/strong collaborator
