Freedom Detox is seeking an RN to join our overnight team!!

We are interested in RN's with Weekend and Overnight availability!

Our perfect candidate can demonstrate professionalism, leadership, strong social communication skills, and excellent time-management . They must possess skills to communicate effectively and interact well with people of diverse backgrounds. Were looking for some one who can take initiative to work well within a group, as well as an individual to solve problems. The ability to maintains consistency with clients, staff, visitors, and the public is a must! We are looking for an RN

Responsibilities
  • Properly instructs and guides behavioral health technicians and LPN's in client care responsibilities and assignments.
  • Supporting the Charge Nurse with helping orient new employees to specific policies and procedures.
  • Offer positive constructive feedback and direction to students/interns on the unit.
  • Convey accurate information in supportive and courteous manner to unit nursing and tech staff.
  • Seeks out supervision and direction from physician or charge nurse.
  • Completion of nursing assessments, transfers, discharges, treatment plans, progress notes, medication reconciliation, medication administration, and vitals.
  • Knowledge of detox protocols.
  • Assist medical doctor as needed.
  • Report any unusual occurrences to charge nurse/program director promptly.
  • Ensure room assignments are appropriate to clients' needs.
  • Attend and actively participate in departmental staff meetings.
  • Maintain medical equipment in proper working order.
  • Maintain confidentiality and proper boundaries.


Requirements
  • Current RN license in state of practice.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA laws, Confidentiality, state licensing regulations
  • Prefer Bachelors Degree in Nursing.
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement techniques.
  • Awareness and understanding of regulating bodies (CARF, DHHS).
  • Prefer strong background in substance use and Co-occurring Disorders,
  • CPR, AED and First Aid, other trainings as required.
  • Able to effectively meet the needs of the client, positive relationships with internal and external customers and contributing to the success of our team.
