The Surgery Trauma Nurse provides progressive patient care for post-trauma and surgical patients. This unit provides care to those seriously ill patients requiring an intermediate inpatient level of care for admission to discharge. The unit is specifically designed, equipped and staffed to meet the needs of patients with, anticipating or recovering from, but not limited to: traumatic injury, arrhythmias, trauma, orthopedic, spine, bariatric and other general surgery, as well as other procedures and medical conditions. Delivers high quality patient-focused health care services that meet the assessed and individually planned needs and desires of all patients on the assigned nursing unit.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Minimum Education
Diploma, Associate's or Bachelor's Degree from an accredited RN program
Required Certification/Registration
Current unrestricted Louisiana RN license and BLS certification
