University Medical Group, LLC - Advanced Heart Failure Cardiology

Role: To participate in the Advanced Heart Failure Program at University Hospital of Augusta, Georgia.  University Hospital is a 581 bed community facility specializing in adult care. Our hospital offers regional quaternary advanced cardiac care including LVADs & and ECMO, with the exception of cardiac transplants.

Location: Augusta, Georgia is a beautiful mid-sized city located on the border of Georgia and South Carolina with loads of southern charm. In addition the cost of living is very attractive, and there is easy driving access to several of the South’s largest major metropolitan areas, including Atlanta, Charlotte, and Charleston.

Staffing Design: Currently there are 3 cardiologists, and we are looking add two more. There will be opportunity for participation in both inpatient and outpatient care on a rotational basis. In addition, we have 8 registered nurses and 3.5 AHPs

Qualifications:

  • Board certification or eligibility in Advanced Heart Failure and Cardiac Transplant
  • LVAD/ECMO Experience
  • New graduates/experienced will be considered
  • J1/H1 VISA can apply

Compensation: Designed on MGMA median as base compensation. Benefits provided and quality incentives available approach 75th percentile potential for total compensation. Current additional amount at risk for quality metrics achievement = $100,000. Potential for additional shifts add to the potential total earnings.

Retirement planning: 403(b) retirement account, with additional matching by employer; 457 retirement vehicle available for tax deferred retirement planning.
