The Division of Cardiology in the Department of Internal Medicine at the American University of Beirut is seeking a full-time board-certified academic Cardiologist to join the division at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. The candidate must have subspecialty training in heart failure with experience in the advanced technologies currently utilized in the management of these patients: ECMO, LVAD, heart transplantation.

The candidate will be a member of the division of cardiology and the newly established Heart & Vascular Center at the AUB Medical Center. Prior experience in building and supervising inpatient and outpatient heart failure services is required. The clinical focus of the candidate will be in heart failure and s/he will play a pivotal role in developing and expanding the current heart failure services to become a major referral center in the region.

In addition to clinical services, the candidate will have a major role in the education and supervision of medical students, residents, and cardiology fellows. Prior experience in the supervision of educational programs is strongly preferred. The successful candidate should have research experience with a record of scholarly publications.
