Pediatric Surgeon

The Division of Pediatric Surgery at Driscoll Children’s Hospital in Corpus Christi, Texas is seeking applications for 1 to 2 Board Certified/Board Eligible Pediatric Surgeons.  Currently, the division consists of 3 Pediatric Surgeons with expertise in laparoscopy, transplantation, bariatric surgery, trauma, and urology.   Successful applicants will enjoy a competitive compensation package including coverage of all overhead expenses (including malpractice), medical, dental, and vision, disability and life insurance, excellent retirement plans, generous paid vacation days, paid holidays and paid CME. 

The Pediatric Surgery practice is based at Driscoll Children’s Hospital, a non-profit freestanding, 200-bed tertiary hospital providing care to children living in the lower 34 counties of South Texas.  The population served is over 2 million and is one of the youngest and fastest growing in the United States with 25% of the population less than age 18 and yearly growth rates up to 20 to 25% per year!  The hospital provides comprehensive pediatric services.  Surgical services include Pediatric Surgery, Urology, Cardiac Surgery, Neurosurgery, Orthopedics, Plastics, and ENT.  Medical services include neonatology, pediatric intensivists, pulmonary, gastroenterology, endocrinology, oncology, pathology, and radiology.  The hospital maintains a teaching affiliation with Texas A & M University Health Science Center, the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston and has its pediatric residency program.
