Mayo Clinic Arizona is recruiting to add to our Genitourinary Cancer team of 3 Medical Oncologists, 5 Radiation Oncologists, and 7 Oncologic Urologists. As the only NCI designated cancer center in one of the Nation’s largest metro areas, Mayo Clinic Arizona will provide the successful applicant with many opportunities to contribute to existing efforts, grow new programs, and pursue a personalized career path related to Genitourinary Cancer research and treatment. MCA is embarking on an ambitious expansion plan with $648 million dollars in planned construction. Cancer is designated as a key strategic priority, so we are seeking an ambitious Academic GU Oncologist who wants to be a part of a top ranked and growing faculty.

The Division of Hematology and Medical Oncology at Mayo Clinic Arizona includes over forty physicians and researchers offering highly skilled, state-of-the art care. The medical oncology team in Arizona is known for its clinical excellence and extensive involvement in the preclinical and clinical development of new therapies. They are active participants in the Alliance for Clinical Trials in Oncology and the NCI Experimental Therapeutics-Clinical Trials Network (ET-CTN). The division also supports an ACGME-accredited fellowship in Hematology/Oncology and the Mayo Medical School in Arizona.

The division is seeking an individual with a strong interest in clinical research in GU cancer. The applicant will have a primary focus in Prostate Cancer, with a secondary focus in the other GU malignancies. A track record of publication and clinical trials experience is a plus. Qualified candidate will have the opportunity to teach medical students, residents, and fellows. The successful applicant will be able to build a successful academic practice and present their findings at national and international meetings. Both experienced academicians and fellows are encouraged to apply. Board eligible or board certified in Medical Oncology is required.

This position offers an excellent combination of location, work environment, and professional responsibility. Our desirable location in the beautiful Sonoran Desert of Phoenix and the proximity to mountains offers opportunities for outdoor activities throughout the year, including hiking, mountain biking, boating and skiing. Families will appreciate the school system as many Mayo faculty send their children to Basis High School, a public charter school that is ranked by US News as the #1 public high school in the nation and is just down the road from the Clinic.
