Stem Cell Transplant Fellowship
The Hematology and Oncology Division at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center and Case Western Reserve University is seeking candidates for training in hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. The 1 year fellowship begins on July 1, 2019. The program provides intensive, mentored education in clinical care and clinical research in stem cell transplantation. Clinical care is provided in the Seidman Cancer Center in our 26-bed stem cell transplant unit. Candidates must be board eligible or certified in hematology and/or medical oncology. Salary is commensurate with PGY-7 salary. University Hospitals Seidman Cancer Center is part of the National Cancer Institute-designated Case Comprehensive Cancer Center. We provide a rich environment for clinical investigation with extensive core resources and a Cancer Center scientific program in hematopoietic disorders.
The section of Hematologic Malignancies and Stem Cell Transplantation, under the leadership of Dr. Marcos de Lima, is focused on the development of novel cellular therapies such as the production of CAR-T cells, mesenchymal stromal cells, and virus specific T and NK cells. Training includes exposure to haploidentical, matched related and unrelated donor transplants, as well as autologous and cord blood transplants.
