The Norton Cardiothoracic and Transplantation Institute (NTI) at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center (SJHMC) in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a transplant pulmonologist with primary clinical responsibility in the lung transplant and advanced pulmonary disease program. Strong interest in clinical and/or translational research is encouraged but not required.  We are also have an opening for a lung transplant fellowship position.

Our lung transplant program is one of the dominant lung transplant centers in the United States and is currently supported by six thoracic surgeons and five pulmonologists.  To date, we have performed almost 700 lung transplants and average approximately 100 per year.  Our quality outcomes and survival rates are among the highest in the country. We also have active clinical and translational research programs and a NIH funded basic science section under the directorship of Dr. Mohanakumar.

For the transplant pulmonologist posting, requirements include clinical experience with lung transplant patients either during or post fellowship training and board certification in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine.

For the transplant fellowship position, requirement includes successful completion of fellowship in Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine from an accredited training program in the US or Canada.
