The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for faculty positions in the Academic Clinician Track (non-tenure) at both the Associate Professor and Assistant Professor ranks.
Responsibilities include a combination of educational and clinical care duties. Teaching responsibilities will be expected with residents and medical students. The successful applicant will have experience in the field of Histopcompatibility, Immunogenetics and Transplant Immunology to support the transplant programs and the other clinical programs at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Expertise in serological, cellular and molecular testing is required. Responsibilities include clinical test analysis and sign-out, quality control, innovation and test development, interactions with clinical colleagues and teaching of residents and medical and graduate students. While research is not required for this track, opportunities for collaborative clinical research may exist.
Applicants must have an M.D, Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D. degree. Candidates must be board certified/eligible in Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics from the American Board of Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics.

Associate Professor
Applicants in mid-career with established records of clinical activity and excellence in teaching are encouraged to apply. Applicants must be board-certified ABHI Diplomats (or equivalent board approved by HHS), and hold qualification as HLA Laboratory Director defined by CAP and ASHI accreditation.
