The Department of Surgery, University of California, San Francisco, is seeking a board certified, fellowship trained surgeon to serve as the Director of Global Health. This new position will be charged with leading the development and implementation of the Department’s strategic plan for global health and expanding global health research and training opportunities for medical students, residents, and fellows. This position will also serve as a liaison between the Department of Surgery and the UCSF Institute for Global Health Science.
Applicants should have an exceptional record in patient care and a passion for advancing health worldwide. Recognized skills in the education of medical students, residents, and fellows are required. This position will be appointed at the rank of Associate or Full Professor.
