Pediatric Surgeon

The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Department of Surgery at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for an Assistant Professor position in either the non-tenure clinician-educator track or the tenure track. The successful applicant will have experience in the field of pediatric surgery. Responsibilities include building a clinical practice in pediatric general surgery; teaching residents and fellows; and pursuing research in aspects of fetal biology. Tenure track faculty members must ultimately show evidence of independent research, while those in the CE-track may have research and scholarship that is independent or collaborative. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree. They must also be certified by the American Board of Surgery, or be Board-eligible, and hold special ABS certification (or eligibility) in pediatric surgery.

Applicants must have training in clinical fetal therapy. Candidates with fellowship training and showing evidence of scholarship will be preferred.

We seek candidates who embrace and reflect diversity in the broadest sense.

The University of Pennsylvania and The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia are EOEs. Minorities/Women/Individuals with disabilities/Protected Veterans are encouraged to apply.
