University Medical Group - Critical Care Medicine with Cardiovascular Focus

Role: To participate in the Intensive Care Coverage at University Hospital of Augusta, Georgia.  University Hospital is a 581 bed community facility specializing in adult care. Our hospital offers regional quaternary advanced cardiac care including LVADs & and ECMO, with the exception of cardiac transplants.

Location: Augusta, Georgia is a beautiful mid-sized city located on the border of Georgia and South Carolina with loads of southern charm. In addition the cost of living is very attractive, and there is easy driving access to several of the South’s largest major metropolitan areas, including Atlanta, Charlotte, and Charleston.

Staffing Design:

• 12 hour shifts with 7 days on, 7 days off
• 24 hour in-house presence of Critical Care Coverage

Census:

• CT ICU – 12 beds
• CCU – 8 beds
• Average Occupancy 15-20 beds

Qualifications:

• Post graduate fellowship training in critical care medicine
• New graduates/experienced will be considered
• J1/H1 VISA can apply
• LVAD/ECMO/Impella experience preferred

Compensation: Designed on MGMA median as base compensation. Benefits provided and quality incentives available approach 75^th percentile potential for total compensation. Current additional amount at risk for quality metrics achievement = $100,000. Potential for additional shifts add to the potential total earnings.
