MEDICAL RETINA OPHTHALMOLOGIST

The Edmonton Retina Centre, a busy private practice in the Greater Edmonton Area, is currently looking to recruit a medical retina ophthalmologist. The practice is well-established with a reputation for excellent clinical care. The position may include opportunities to undertake clinical research and teach ophthalmology residents from the U of A program, if desired.

The ideal candidate is well-trained and highly motivated and will have completed a fellowship in medical retina. She/he must be eligible for independent practice licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta and must hold certification by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in Ophthalmology.

The Clinic has the latest diagnostic technology including a Topcon OCT/Angio scanner, an Optos camera for photography/angiography, and an ultrasound unit. Onsite procedures available include intravitreal injections and argon laser. The Edmonton Retina Clinic is located across the street from the main ophthalmology surgical and teaching hospital, the Royal Alexandra Hospital.
