Greater Cincinnati / Northern Kentucky
St. Elizabeth Healthcare is seeking a BC/BE Minimally Invasive Cardiac Surgeon to join its nationally recognized Cardiac Surgery program. This is a full-time, hospital-employed position with shared call (1:5).
Opportunity Highlights
- Multiple STS Three-Star Rating by The Society of Thoracic Surgeons for Cardiac Bypass Surgery (including the most recent data period).
- Surgery is performed exclusively at one location (St. Elizabeth Edgewood).
- This is a wonderful opportunity to work with an established group of 22 cardiologists and electrophysiologists, and a heart failure specialist.
- The practice is supported by experienced advanced practice providers in all settings (surgery, inpatient, and clinic).
- Strong commitment to a team concept of care amongst surgeons and staff.
- St. Elizabeth is home to a Family Medicine Residency Program and recently announced a partnership with the University of Kentucky and Northern Kentucky University to open a Medical School.
- St. Elizabeth Healthcare recently celebrated 5 years as a member of the Mayo Clinic Care Network which connects our patients and Medical Staff with a variety of resources including point of care tools, eConsults, eBoards, Grand Rounds, and collaborative learning opportunities.
Qualifications
- The ideal candidate will have expertise in cardiac valve repair and replacement surgery.
- Experience utilizing minimally-invasive techniques (including robotics) is required for this position.
- The ability to collaborate effectively to achieve positive patient and caregiver experiences.
- Desire to play an active role in ensuring excellent patient care, quality outcomes, and an outstanding patient experience.
